Abstract

Background: Pott’s spine is the commonest presentation of extrapulmonary tuberculosis spreading through the hematogenous route. Iatrogenic Pott’s spine is a rare condition.

Case Presentation: We report two patients who underwent primary spinal intervention which got complicated with post-operative discitis. Imaging, serological and histopathological investigations were diagnostic of tubercular spondylodiscitis.

Conclusions: Iatrogenic Pott’s spine must be kept in mind when investigating a patient who has been operated in the past for spinal pathology.
